Midwifery degree programme - in cooperation with OTH Regensburg
The training of midwives and maternity nurses in our region is particularly important to us - and that is precisely why we offer the opportunity to complete practical work placements at our Arberlandklinik Zwiesel as part of the dual study programme in midwifery at the OTH Regensburg.
We are practice partners!
- We award one internship per year
- During the practical assignments, you can get to know the work and colleagues in the Gynaecology & Obstetrics team at the Arberlandklinik Zwiesel in person. An ideal environment for consolidating specialist knowledge and sharing experiences.
Objectives of the funding programme
- We want to secure the future of obstetric care in the region at a high level
- We want to support students who want to become midwives or obstetric nurses in the long term and provide them with practical support during their studies
- We contribute to the long-term recruitment of midwives and obstetric nurses
And what do you get out of it?
- The best prerequisites for later work on a freelance basis as an attending midwife or attending obstetric nurse in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Arberlandklinik Zwiesel
- Professional contacts who are happy to share their experience and knowledge with you
- Practical work experience in our main gynaecology and obstetrics department (level 4 - perinatal, where 350-400 women give birth every year.
- Working in a clinic that stands for personal and family-orientated obstetrics
How the application works

You can submit your written application for a placement at the Arberlandklinik Zwiesel between 1 November and 15 March.
Required application documents:
- Curriculum vitae in tabular form
- Letter of motivation
- Confirmation of an obstetric internship of at least 10 days
- Further internship confirmations
- If already available: University entrance qualification -
We will be reviewing the applications up to and including 31 March.

The interviews will take place during the week of 1–4 April.

If you’ve impressed us, we’ll let you know by 17 April.

Once you have received confirmation from the Arberlandklinik Zwiesel, you can then apply to OTH Regensburg between 1 May and 15 September.

After admission to the OTH, you will receive your training contract from us.

We award one practical placement per year. You can only apply for this after you have been accepted for a place at the OTH.

- The contractual conditions are based on the collective agreement for students in a dual midwifery degree programme in the public sector (TVHöD).
There is the possibility of accommodation in our staff dormitory during practical assignments.
