René Trabold, MHBA
Head of the Neurology Section Viechtach
As a fresh, young doctor, you are suddenly faced with a great deal of responsibility. However, thanks to the collegial relationship with my fellow doctors, right up to the head physician, I always have support. I can reassure myself at any time and at the same time I am given the opportunity every day to continue my training in the context of supervision, but also exercises within and outside the department as part of external training courses. For all non-medical questions, I always found an open ear in the administration of the ALK and we were able to clarify many things immediately with a short conversation or a phone call, because we know each other here and are not just one employee among many.

Frequently asked questions
At the Arberlandkliniken, we apply the collective agreement for doctors at municipal hospitals (TV-Ärzte/VKA). Regular working hours: The regular weekly working time is 40 hours. On-call duty: On-call duty is valued differently depending on the on-call duty level (I to III). On-call duty at level III, for example, is counted as 90 % working time, while levels I and II are counted less heavily. On average, you should expect to work 4-5 shifts per month.
Our doctors' salaries are based on the TV-Ärzte/VKA collective labour agreement. In the case of managerial positions, we take plenty of time to harmonise mutual expectations.
The probationary period is usually six months.
There are a variety of further training opportunities, including specialist training, specialisations and additional qualifications. Details can be found in the "Assistant & Specialist Doctors" section.
The Arberland Clinics support further training and offer internal training courses as well as financial support for external training courses. You will receive up to 10 additional days of training leave per year.
