Medicine

Your clinical traineeship at the Arbeland Clinics offers you the ideal opportunity to supplement your medical studies with practical experience. You will gain an insight into everyday clinical practice, get to know the work of doctors at first hand and gain valuable orientation for your further professional development.

Your options:

  • Insights into various specialist areas, e.g. internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, anaesthesia, neurology, central emergency department, etc.
  • The opportunity to take responsibility for smaller tasks and further develop your skills
  • Opportunity to deepen your clinical skills and expand your medical knowledge
  • Support and mentoring by experienced doctors and specialist staff

Prerequisite:

  • You are a medical student

Care

During your internship in nursing, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in dealing with patients and medical processes. You will also gain an insight into the organisation of everyday life on a ward.

Your options:

  • Taster internship
  • Professional orientation internship during school education or studies (duration as specified by the school or university of applied sciences / university)
  • Pre-internship in nursing
  • Internship for paramedic (m/f/d) and emergency paramedic (m/f/d) trainees (duration depending on training regulations)

Prerequisite:

Administration

During your internship in the administration department, you will have the opportunity to explore the organisational processes of a hospital. You will gain an insight into the various areas of administration at the Arberlandkliniken: Central HR Department, Patient Management, Corporate Communications & Corporate Development, Financial Accounting and Controlling, Purchasing / Logistics and IT.

  • Professional orientation internship during school education or studies (duration as specified by the school or university of applied sciences / university)

Physician Assistant

Your internship in the Physician Assistant department will give you exciting insights into patient care and the medical processes that are crucial for diagnosis, treatment and care. You will support doctors during examinations, diagnostics and treatment and gain practical experience. Depending on your interests, you can complete your internship in various specialist areas, for example in internal medicine, surgery, the central emergency department, etc., and thus gain a varied insight into the work of a physician assistant.

Medical services

Your internship in the medical-technical service offers you valuable insights into specialised medical fields of work and the diagnostic and therapeutic processes that are important for patient care. You can choose between an internship in the laboratory, X-ray, physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy.

Delivery room

Your internship in the delivery room will give you an insight into the work involved in childbirth and obstetrics. You will get to know the processes from caring for expectant mothers to providing support during the birth. You will gain valuable insights that will broaden your understanding of obstetrics.

Your options:

  • Practical experience that gives you an understanding of the midwifery profession
  • Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and midwives

Federal Volunteer Service

Do you want to discover something new and make good use of the time between finishing school and studying or training?

Your options:

  • Working week of 38.5 hours/week
  • Participation in at least 25 political seminars
  • Leave in accordance with the Federal Leave Act and the Youth Employment Protection Act
  • Pocket money of 438 euros/month + monthly Ticket-Plus booking of 50.00 euros
  • Duration: min. 6 months to max. 18 months
  • Federal voluntary service possible in various areas
